I am envious of those people that don't experience jetlag. Each time I travel it takes quite a few days to get my body back on track. The worse was two years ago..heartbreak and jetlag is a horrible combination. This trip is no exception as I am sitting here writing at a very early time...when anyone who knows me is aware that I am not a morning person. I got up and went and got some McDonalds and figure I will try to lay back down for a few more hours in a minute. My spring break trip went well..but of course I came back exhausted. I could write and write about the trip, so I will do a summary and my thoughts about each place. Zurich: gorgeous, clean, rich city. the Alps were breathtaking. our hotel was clean and small. Venice: loved it as always. same great hotel and of course we know i love the food. spent some time exploring a new part of the city and visiting the Peggy Guggenheim museum...and buying glass of course. Munich: a very liveable city..with excellent transportation and convient lay out. hostel was nice and clean with a good bar. got some history in by visiting Dachau concentration camp and Neuschwanstein Castle ( should read some more about King Ludwig II and his mysterious death), and of course we visited the HofbrÀuhaus Beer Hall. of course i hated the food...never have been one for the processed meet and it takes everything in me to try to drink a beer. Prague: train station is horrible and unhelpful, but the city is gorgeous. stayed on the 5th floor with no elevator. food was decent..and cheapest city we visited. The exchange rates are horrible these days. The euro to the dollar increased by 30 cents in one year and the British pound is 1 pound = $2.06! Luckily we were not in the United Kingdom. Lot's of walking on the trip...some climbing...and of courses tons of pictures. As I can't ever wait, I got my color pictures developed yesterday and will have them on the web soon. For now I am going to post on here of one of my favorites taken of a couple in Prague.
